At dti EXACT™, we provide waterjet cutting of most any material including, standard and exotic metals, plastics, and stone. Waterjet cutting is a very versatile cutting method, capable of creating intricate patterns with no heat distortion and a dimensional accuracy of ±0.010″ or better. By controlling the speed of the cut, a variety of edge finishes can be achieved from a coarse cut used to quickly cut blanks to a very fine surface finish that requires no additional grinding. Both standard waterjet cutting and abrasive waterjet cutting services are available. Abrasive waterjet cutting, or AWJ, is a more aggressive method of cutting wherein the garnet powder is introduced to the water stream. This allows us to cut thicker materials very efficiently. Our waterjet capacity can handle material up to 4’x8’ in area, with 12″ of Z travel.
