At dti Exact™, we manufactured the waterjet cutting head, highlighted here, for use in high pressure abrasive cutting applications. Our state-of-the-art equipment, combined with our workforce of technically experienced machinists and qualified assembly professionals, enabled us to manufacture this cutting head with exceptionally close ±.0005″ tolerances ensuring perfect jet stream alignment for precision performance and reliability.
Working with the customer-supplied drawing, we used our CNC lathe to machine the intricate angles, curves, and bores of the cutting head body from 1-3/8″ diameter 17-4 PH stainless steel round bar. Our precision machining capabilities allowed us to achieve smooth cutting accuracy and a 16 surface finish on this high strength material. We coordinated the procurement of the B.O.M. components to ensure a continuous and steady flow of parts into the assembly process, where our technicians followed a detailed set of engineering drawings to create the finished product.
We integrated quality control into every step of the production process. Extensive QA testing ensured that the precision and quality of the waterjet stream would make precise cuts, rapidly, accurately, and repeatably throughout an extended service life.
